Annie, my son has these ear muffs too - except in bright blue, naturally. :) They are so great, aren't they? We had an incident several months ago with the building-wide fire alarms in our apartment building. The unit smoke detectors are loud enough, but the building-wide alarms...ear piercing doesn't begin to describe them. Sometimes I think it would be *less* upsetting to wake up on fire. At any rate, we had to go outside (there wasn't a fire, thank goodness) and my poor baby was terrified by the sound of the alarms - especially in the hallways, such a small space and such a loud sound. I didn't even wait until we got back inside to buy the ear protectors. I hopped on Amazon from my iPhone and purchased a pair, right then and there, standing barefoot on the sidewalk. :) We've only had to use them once since then, after burning some toast (just our smoke alarm went off, not the building alarms, thank goodness!) and as soon as we popped them on he went right back to playing. Amazing! Good on you for protecting her ears - you're a great momma!
